February is the month for lovers, and I have a book I'd like to recommend for anyone who is in a serious relationship, whether with a lover, a good friend, a co-worker, or a family member. In short, this book has good advice for anyone who does not live full-time in a cave.
What is this book? you ask. It's The Art of Communicating by Thich Nhat Hanh, who passed away January 22, 2022 at the age of 95. He was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk who wrote several books, showing how to put mindfulness practice in various life situations. You may also want to check out some of his other books as well.
It includes wisdom about how to communicate with ourselves (and we so often fail to do so honestly, don't we?), communicating with others, how to practice loving speech, how to communicate mindfully at work, and communicating in difficult situations. Very helpful and practical advice! Highly recommended.
