Rants from a Cranky Empath, Part 3

After two weeks of ranting about the state of our un-empathic world, I want to offer hope.

In the Tao te Ching, there is a saying that the soft overcomes the hard, as the water overcomes the rock.

Think about it.  We may not be many, fellow empaths, but we have the power of softness.  We can offer kindness to a crying child, we may act kindly when in traffic, we may stand without judgment and listen to views that differ from our own, and we may demonstrate what compromise means.  We may even actively work to break down the hardness in our society by volunteering in charitable organizations, teaching our future generations, running for local office, or writing books that demonstrate the soft but powerful way.  We may also just sit and envision a better world, hold that vision in a high vibration, and believe that it will come to be.

     We do have that power.

So, let us get on with it, fellow empaths, and work for that better tomorrow.  It's the only way.
